The privacy and security of Wi-Fi networks is of vital importance to operators and network providers. WBA has existing guidelines on NGH Security, Operator Guidelines and also addresses this question in WRIX. This project provides industry guidelines to identify and facilitate the understanding of challenges that service providers and vendors must address to bring security to various services, especially those offered over trusted and untrusted Wi-Fi networks.

Moreover, there’s a current growing issue related to user data that goes beyond the boundaries of a local network being used by the identity provider, data that is unlikely to be owned by this network. This reflects a security concern for both the end users and network owners.
