The Wireless Broadband Alliance was pleased to welcome Veea as a new member in January 2025! Learn more about the company and their WBA goals in the interview below.

Can you provide a brief overview of Veea and the company’s place in the wireless ecosystem?

Veea Inc. (NASDAQ: VEEA) was formed in 2014 and is headquartered in New York City with a rich history of major innovations in the development of advanced networking, wireless and computing technologies. Veeahubs®, our edge gateway, are hyper-converged wireless devices that combines common IoT interfaces, cloud managed mesh wi-fi and 5G / LTE.

How is 2025 shaping up for Veea – are there any highlights, releases, news, etc, that you’d like to share?

We will continue to provide quality connectivity in markets that are traditionally underserved, both domestic and abroad and use this connectivity to instill value in the network for our partners and their customers.  Being part of the WBA, and the Connected Communities workgroup, will provide Veea a platform to expand our deployments and implement additional use cases for the betterment of those served by this initiative.

What led to Veea joining the WBA, and what does the company hope to achieve with its membership?

Although Veea can now be found in Panama, Indonesia and Mexico, perfectly aligning with the WBA’s Connected Communities initiative, Veea has been under the radar for some regarding the demonstrated versatility of our platform’s capabilities.  Joining and partnering with the WBA will allow us to reach a broader global audience regarding these capabilities.  As well as providing an opportunity to more widely share the technical and economic models associated with our Wi-Fi first approach that makes affordable broadband access in underserved areas a reality.
