The WBA will host its second WBA Vision Forum in India, 21 – 22 January 2016, at the FICCI Offices in New Delhi.
The Vision Forum is a unique global gathering of thought-leaders from major wireless and broadband operators, technology innovators, government and city authorities.
Our aim is to facilitate a thought-provoking and candid dialogue that considers the opportunities and challenges for delivering transformational services through unlicensed and licensed connectivity, including public Wi-Fi. Moderated by a leading industry executive, speakers outline their vision and then debate with executives in an open interactive dialogue.
Day 1: Round Table – Digital Empowerment
21 January 2016 afternoon – by Invitation only – an exclusive Round Table – Digital Empowerment by Invitation only.
A select group of 30 individuals from state/city government, central government, operators and service providers, analysts and industry associations will be invited to discuss:
- Connected Cities
- Unlicensed technology

The Day one Round Table will be followed by a cocktail reception.
Day 2: Connecting the Unconnected
22 January 2016 – Public Forum
This Forum will provide attendees with thought-leadership, global insights, trends and case studies from leading experts from India and the globe. Key topics are connecting the unconnected, convergence services, high-density venues and laying the foundations of Smart City.
Connecting the Unconnected will provide an opportunity for participants to meet with senior executives from the Indian government, operators, tech companies, ecosystem players, neighboring countries, media and analysts.
The discussion will cover the opportunities and challenges for delivering transformational services through unlicensed and licensed connectivity, including public Wi-Fi. The executive group will also discuss ideas on how the ecosystem can cooperate and the role that industry organizations (including WBA and others) may play to accelerate the opportunities.
