Visitors to the Wireless Global Congress APAC enjoy Seamless OpenRoaming in Tokyo
The OpenRoaming LIVE experience was fully operational during the Wireless Global Congress (WGC) APAC 2026 in Tokyo, spanning the Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB), Tokyo city, and the WBA members-only Working Sessions venue – courtesy of Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Innovation Base, Cityroam, Wi2, and Extreme Networks.
Attendees enjoyed seamless, secure access to the OpenRoaming Wi-Fi network across the city, demonstrating the power of frictionless connectivity in a real-world environment.

Wireless Global Congress (WGC) Americas once again co-located with Network X Americas in Dallas this past May, and the event marked another significant milestone in the evolution of OpenRoaming®, building on previously successful deployments at WGC EMEA (Paris 2025) and WGC APAC (Tokyo 2026).
WGC EMEA demonstrated that OpenRoaming had reached production maturity in large hospitality and convention environments, while WGC APAC expanded the vision further, showcasing how OpenRoaming can support seamless connectivity across a broader urban ecosystem.
