WBA WGC Made San Francisco the “Hotspot” for All Things Wi-Fi

Following the record breaking success of this year’s Wi-Fi Global Congress in San Francisco, we are pleased to announce that the next Congress will take place in London on the 18th – 22nd May 2014. We are in the process of putting together an engaging agenda along with a range of exciting activities, all focusing on the future of Carrier Wi-Fi. Watch this space for more information.

On behalf of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the sponsors, exhibitors and participants of our incredibly successful Wi-Fi Global Congress in San Francisco this fall. This was the first time that we have independently carried out an event of this scale and we have you to thank for helping us to make this the huge success that it was.

The Wi-Fi Global Congress was the highest attended event of its kind in the WBA’s history! We welcomed almost 500 conference attendees and 25 sponsors and exhibitors from around the world. There were 60 high level speakers in 33 conference presentations and 6 panel discussions that were packed in to the 5 day event. Attendees included operators, leading industry players, analysts and members of the media community.

The event agenda provided a great forum to facilitate discussion between various members of the mobile ecosystem including operators (mobile, fixed, cable etc.), device manufacturers and vendors, allowing each to gain a better appreciation of the other’s strategic direction and imperatives for the continued development of Carrier Wi-Fi, Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) and Wi-Fi Roaming. We look forward to seeing all of you in London next year!
