Wireless Innovation

This programme aims to promote innovation using Wi-Fi & unlicensed (in IOT, Big Data etc) with ventures & investors. Through the WBA initiatives and projects, we will stimulate innovation and diversification in Wi-Fi and unlicensed ecosystem and encourage creation of an Innovation Council & start-up mentoring through the WBA Accelerator programme.

Internet of Things New Vertical Value Chains & Interoperability

Develop a document examining the IoT space, definition of vertical markets, use cases, business models and opportunities for WBA members. Also, consider enablement platforms and/or capabilities which impact to WBA Members as well as interoperability between technologies (IoT verticals interoperability).

Part of the Wireless Innovation Program initiatives, the WBA Accelerator program is normally held during the Wireless Global Congress. It is comprised of two dedicated sessions that allow startups and SMEs to pitch their businesses and products to a panel of industry specialists, an invited audience of investors, and conference attendees. WBA Accelerator activities are augmented with Innovation showcases, where recent advances and innovative development in the field on unlicensed are presented to attendees.
