LONDON, November 15, 2017— The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) today announced the winners of the sixth annual
WBA Industry Awards at its Wireless Global Congress event in New York.
Judged by a panel of independent industry experts, analysts and journalists, each year the awards honor the most exceptional – and best practice – networks, smart cities and remote wireless deployments from operators and technology vendors across the globe. The winners of the WBA Industry Awards for 2017 are:

- Best Wireless Deployment in Rural or Remote Areas: BrightWave Technologies
- Best Wireless Innovation and Excellence in Social Impact: Mojo Networks
- WBA Wireless Leadership Award: David Hagan at Boingo Wireless
- Distinguished Member Award (non-operator): Cisco Systems
- Distinguished Member Award (operator): Boingo Wireless
“I’d like to congratulate all of our winners and those who were shortlisted, as well as thanking everyone who has taken part in the WBA Industry Awards for 2017.
