Brendan O’Reilly is Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Boldyn Networks. Brendan joined the former BAI Communications in 2021 as Group CTO and took on increased responsibilities in recent years as the company rapidly grew its operations across the US, UK, and Europe, and became Boldyn Networks.
As Group COO, Brendan is responsible for running Boldyn Networks’ global operations and provides input to the leadership teams in all regions around the company’s largest and most critical projects. He’s directly responsible for the team in Hong Kong and leads Boldyn Networks’ Technology, IT and Transformation teams.
With almost two decades of telecommunications expertise, Brendan O’Reilly brings a proven track record of delivering complex technology strategies in the most challenging environments, from tailored wireless and fibre infrastructure deployments to private networks and sophisticated smart city-enabling technologies.
He has been instrumental in accelerating the company’s expansion of its neutral host solutions and magnifying its strengths as a telecommunications infrastructure service provider. This remit forms a core part of Boldyn Network’s growth strategy, which aims to cement the business as a global leader in the delivery of shared 5G network infrastructure. He will continue to build the company’s global capabilities as part of his extended Group COO role.
Brendan is also Boldyn Networks’ ESG executive sponsor, a Board member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance, and a member of the UKTIN Advisory Board. As an active contributor in Boldyn Network’s digital publications, he brings a wealth of global industry experience, valuable insights, and most importantly an obsessive passion for all things innovative and exciting around building an interconnected future. Brendan is part of the Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives.
Prior to Boldyn Networks, Brendan was the Chief Technology Officer for Telefonica’s O2 UK operation for six years, boasting achievements such as leading the development of O2’s network share partnership with Vodafone, O2’s fastest 4G deployment in the UK and the launch of its 5G network.
Specifically, Brendan had accountability for O2’s strategy, design, planning, test, delivery and operation of the entire mobile and fixed network, messaging, and Wi-Fi, supported by his team of more than 700 professional engineers.
