Wi-Fi 7 is set to transform digital home experiences with faster speeds, lower latency, and stronger reliability.
Türk Telekom, HPE Aruba Networking, and Intel partnered with the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) to conduct real-world Wi-Fi 7 trials in residential environments, benchmarking its performance against Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 5. The trials focused on next generation use cases including cloud gaming, 4K/8K video streaming, and AR/VR applications.
Key findings demonstrate Wi-Fi 7’s ability to transform connected lifestyles:
- Peak throughput exceeding 4.2 Gbps, 2.5x faster than Wi-Fi 6E and 6x faster than Wi-Fi 5
- Consistent 3+ Gbps coverage sustained across multiple rooms, ensuring robust whole-home connectivity
- Latency under 1ms in cloud gaming scenarios, enabling faster responsiveness and smoother interactions
- Stable 60 fps gameplay with minimal jitter, surpassing Wi-Fi 6E’s performance drops
- Resilience under load, maintaining stability during heavy traffic and multiple concurrent device sessions
These results show Wi-Fi 7’s readiness to power the digital home of the future, addressing growing demands from entertainment, work, education, and smart living ecosystems.
Beyond residential use, Wi-Fi 7 also demonstrates scalability to enterprise and public-sector environments, supporting dense device deployments, cloud-based workflows, and AI-driven IoT.
Discover how Wi-Fi 7 is set to transform residential connectivity and beyond.
