- How will you be participating in Carrier Wi-Fi Summit and why do you think it is important to do so?
We feel that the Carrier Wi-Fi Summit is a very important platform for the promotion of Carrier Wi-Fi solutions. Our President and CEO, Selina Lo, will join a panel discussion and deliver a keynote address both on Wednesday February 26th. Her Keynote presentation will discuss the ‘Opportunities in Managed WLAN Services for High-Density Venues’ and focus on how MNOs can use managed WLAN services to begin the process of cost effectively penetrating high capacity density venues with network solutions.
Ruckus will be located at Stand # PS1 for the entirety of the Summit where we will be demonstrating Hotspot 2.0 technology, focusing on Release 2. We’ll also be conducting a presentation on ‘Indoor Location Services’ featuring our Director of Marketing, Steve Hratko, and Jan Wybo, our Senior Director of Worldwide Solutions Architecture. - What do you expect to be the major themes at this year’s Carrier Wi-Fi Summit/MWC? And Why?
The need for hyper densification to address the tremendous growth in data traffic will be a major theme. Wi-Fi is extremely well positioned here as it enables very high-capacity density along with low cost. - What do you plan to get out of your participation in the event?
At MWC, we are planning to showcase a number of key products, services and technologies that we believe are all key to enabling a carrier class solution. They include:- A full complement of indoor and outdoor Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi access points
- Flexible management and controller options from the Ruckus ZoneDirector to the SmartCell Gateway (SCG)
- NEW Ruckus SmartCellInsight (SCI) analytics engine
- NEW Ruckus Location-based Wi-Fi services
- Hotspot 2.0
- Our suite of Ruckus mobile applications
We’ll also be talking about these very same technologies at the Carrier Wi-Fi Summit.
- How do you think members of the Wi-Fi ecosystem will benefit from participating in/attending the Carrier Wi-Fi Summit
This is a great forum for carriers to come together with vendors for the purpose of accelerating the rollout of carrier Wi-Fi equipment. Here, you will be able to get a sense of what is going on in the industry, what are the trends, what are other operators doing and what is coming over the course of the next year.
