Mr. Yusuke Hirayama

Mr. Yusuke Hirayama is a Senior Vice President, in charge of Business Development, at NTT DOCOMO USA and Director of the Global Business Division at NTT DOCOMO.

Mr. Hirayama has over 25-year experience at NTT Group companies. He joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in April 1990, where he contributed to the launch of NTT’s global communications services.

Mr. Hirayama transferred to NTT DOCOMO in July 2003, in the Global Business Department, where he focused-on new business development including the acquisition of interTouch (currently DOCOMO interTouch) and Wi-Fi international roaming service. In June 2006, the company transferred him to the Ubiquitous Service Department, where he worked on docomo’s public Wi-Fi expansion and photo-related services.

During his tenure in the Ubiquitous Service Department, Mr. Hirayama led the launch of services such as DOCOMO’s wireless Digital Photo Frame and Photo Collection Service; and he served on the Board of Directors of Eye-Fi, a Venture company in Silicon Valley. In July 2013, the company transferred him to NTT DOCOMO USA.

Mr. Hirayama earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
