Singapore and San Jose – September 28, 2015 – The Wireless Broadband Alliance, the industry association focused on driving next generation Wi-Fi and its role in the Public Wi-Fi services, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Converged Services, Smart Cities and 5G, is proud to announce the shortlist for the WBA 2015 Wi-Fi Industry Awards. Open to the whole industry, the awards have this year attracted entries from vendors and operators from around the world.
The 10 Awards, across 5 categories, have been judged independently of the WBA by a panel of preeminent analysts and industry experts led by Joe Madden of Mobile Experts. Two additional awards, The Chairman Awards, are voted for by WBA members and recognise the impactful influences that have been driving key initiatives in the Wi-Fi ecosystem over the past 12 months. The winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner and networking event at the Wi-Fi Global Congress in San Jose taking place on the 14 October 2015.
“Increasing confidence in the Wi-Fi ecosystem has driven unprecedented acceleration in deployments over the past 12 months as the global ecosystem moves forward with the adoption of next generation Wi-Fi. This in turn has led to an expanded role of Wi-Fi in services, network technologies, management solutions, devices, applications and new ventures. As judges, we were faced with the difficult task of creating a shortlist from an overwhelmingly high standard of entries. I look forward to congratulating the winners at the awards ceremony in San Jose” said Joe Madden from Mobile Expert.
