Apple has this week released a software update for its mid-2013 Macbook Air models to solve their Wi-Fi connection issues.

Macrumors.com says users had complained about poor reception back in June, causing Apple to begin looking into a problem with the laptop’s wireless connectivity.

Complaints had also been lodged about the Macbook’s screen when accessing Adobe Photoshop and problems with sound when viewing video.

In terms of the Wi-Fi issue, a number of users came forward to say their brand new Macbook Air would hook up to the internet for a couple of minutes before suddenly disconnecting.

Apple insists that the problem has now been solved with the release of a new software update, which users can find by accessing the software update tool in the Mac App Store

In a statement announcing a launch for the ‘MacBook Air (Mid 2013) Software Update 1.0’, the company said: “This update fixes an issue that in rare instances may cause an intermittent loss in wireless connectivity, an issue with Adobe Photoshop which may cause occasional screen flickering and an issue which may cause audio volume to fluctuate during video playback.”

As reported by fiercebroadbanswireless.com, the 2013 Macbook Airs use the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard for improved connectivity and bandwidth.
