Dr. Kim is currently Vice President of Infrastructure Lab at KT and is responsible for leading R&D in mobile and wireline network technologies such as LTE/LTE-A, 5G, WiFi and FTTH.

He has over 20 years of research and managerial experiences in various IT and telecommunication fields at IBM, LG Electronics and KT. And he also has been involved in standardization activities as a steering committee member of the 5G Forum and ICT standard committee of TTA. Previously, he served as board of director in the WiMAX Forum.

Dr. Kim received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Texas A & M University, subsequent to his bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea.
