As even more businesses see the benefit in allowing their customers to be “connected” at all times, Wi-Fi providers can only expect to see an increase in demand for their services over the coming years.

That’s the view of tech expert Shane Chorley, who believes the offloading of wireless internet and corporate managed Wi-Fi will grow to become commonplace around a range of industries.

Writing at bizcommunity.com, he said businesses have benefited hugely from telecommunications companies trying to limit congestion on their networks by rolling out high speed Wi-Fi services in specific areas.

“The end result is that users enjoy the ease of connection and the telecommunications firm is able to avoid costly network upgrades,” explained Chorley.

“That also has implications for businesses, which have to ensure that they own the right air space to meet their customers’ needs.”

Another way to provide Wi-Fi for customers is through dedicated routers, which allow the business to roll out access points wherever a connection might be required.

This system ticks all the boxes for security, standardisation and auto-provisioning whilst giving the company the chance to monitor their connection for fair usage.

According to Mr Chorley, coherent systems like these are vital to the roll out of company Wi-Fi.
