BT

Dr Gbenga Salami is a BT Distinguished Engineer employed as a Research Programme Lead with BT Research and Commercialisation (RaC). His focus is on converged networks and application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to network functions.

He has served on the Joint Operator Technical Specification (JOTS) forum, a UK initiative between Mobile operators aimed at re-using wireless infrastructure to allow for neutral hosting of small cells. His other interests include  Radio design and Propagation, Optimisation, converged networks and Radio Resource Management algorithms. Prior to BT, he worked as Senior Technical Marketing Engineer with Cisco within the Small Cells Technology Group. Prior to this he worked as an Radio Design Manager with Ubiquisys, a Small Cell company that was startup subsequently acquired by Cisco Systems. Dr Salami holds both PhD and MSc degrees from the University of Surrey, Guildford
