The WBA is proud to announce the shortlist for the Wi-Fi Industry Awards 2014. The awards recognize outstanding achievement by operators, vendors and device manufacturers within the industry. They are open to the whole industry and have attracted entries from vendors and operators around the world, and across the public Wi-Fi ecosystem.

They have been judged independently of the WBA by a panel of highly distinguished analysts and industry experts led by Peter Jarich, Research Director, Service Provider Infrastructure Practice, Current Analysis. The winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner and networking event at the Wi-Fi Global Congress in San Francisco taking place on the 9th October 2014 at the Palace Hotel.

“A record number of entries were received this year and the quality was once again of an extremely high standard which gave us, the judging panel, the difficult task of selecting the 2014 shortlist. With so much widespread support from the ecosystem, the benefits of Wi-Fi can no longer be ignored; particularly now it is a commercial reality thanks to a raft of Next Generation Hotspot Deployments being made worldwide over the past 12 months. This is thanks to an increase in collaborative activity and a high level of innovation currently occurring in the industry. These achievements are reflected in each submission that has made the shortlist and I look forward to congratulating the winners at the awards ceremony in San Francisco,” said Peter Jarich, Research Director, Service Provider Infrastructure Practice, Current Analysis
