WBA will hold its Q3 2012 working session in Dublin, Ireland, next week. WBA Working Sessions allow members to come together in Project Groups and continue their efforts on specific WBA Programs & Projects.
These WBA initiatives include The NGH Trial Phase 2 Project Group which is reaching a key stage to create the trial partnerships in order to prepare for end-to-end testing this year. More than 50 companies are involved in this initiative.
Another is the Interoperability Compliancy Project Group which is focused on Tiers of Compliancy from a minimum set of requirements to manage a roaming business to a State of the Art NGH network.
A third Project Group working on Roaming Enhancements is engaged in exchange of information and participation between WBA & GSMA delegates.
Finishing touches are being put on WBA’s soon to be released Wi-Fi Roaming White Paper. Other live projects include Seamless Handover Whitepaper development, NGH Business Driver Paper, NGH Operator Guidelines and NGH Security Whitepaper.
We look forward to seeing significant headway in preparation for the San Francisco WBA Wi-Fi Global Congress in November.
