Wi-Fi Sensing – Test Methodology and Performance Metrics
This Wi-Fi Sensing – Test Methodology and Performance Metrics provides a detailed set of KPI metrics which can be used to evaluate the performance of a Wi-Fi Sensing based home monitoring system. The paper includes a number of test cases and scenarios to measure the defined KPIs. The measured data will be presented to validate the test plan and provide inputs as a guideline and best practice for home monitoring system deployment in-home & residential environments.
WBA believes Wi-Fi Sensing will create opportunities within the home security, health care, enterprise, and building automation/management markets, among many others, while also creating a bridge for Wi-Fi service providers to enter these markets.
In 2020, WBA launched a Wi-Fi Sensing Whitepaper providing an overview of Wi-Fi Sensing technology, classifying use cases and requirements, and identifying the gaps in Wi-Fi standards which would lead to the enhancement of the technology and ease of deployment if those gaps are addressed with Home Monitoring case study.
