The driving force behind next generation Wi-Fi welcomes industry pioneers to discuss role of Wi-Fi & unlicensed technologies in enabling key market opportunities across IoT, Big Data, Converged Services, Smart Cities and 5G.

San Jose – September 7, 2015 – The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), the industry association focused on driving next generation Wi-Fi and its role in the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Converged Services, Smart Cities and 5G has announced further details of its biannual Wi-Fi Global Congress (WGC) to take place at the San Jose Convention Centre. The fourth Congress will take place on 12-15st October 2015 and will see more than 500 operators, analysts, media and key influencers in attendance. Speakers will include Mayor of San Jose Sam Liccardo, as well as CIO-level representatives from San Francisco and New York, senior representatives from AT&T, BT, Cisco and Sprint and the CEOs of iPass and Ruckus Wireless.

The event will also see the inaugural meeting of the Connected City Advisory Board, a body working to promote the development of connected cities, and also recognize and disseminate information about the best practices, challenges and opportunities in their development and execution. This event will include senior city and government representatives from New York, San Francisco, San Jose, Delhi and the Philippines, among others.
